About Nature Garden Day Nursery & Forest School

Nature Garden is a unique forest school in leafy Lymm where children explore, play, and learn outdoors year-round. Our seasonal curriculum fosters resilience, independence, and a deep love for nature. Rooted in Montessori and Reggio Emilia values, we nurture creativity and whole-body learning.

We are located next to Ravenbank Primary School, which also offers Breakfast and After School Clubs with meals, homework help, and engaging activities.

Our Stay & Play sessions are held every Monday and Friday during term time, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM in our beautiful, purpose-built Scandinavian log cabin. Join us to meet other parents, use our baby scales, and enjoy light refreshments!

Our Mission

We provide an authentic forest school experience where play is purposeful, learning is child-led, and development unfolds naturally. Through open-ended exploration, warm adult guidance, and a deep connection to nature, we nurture confident, capable children who know how to listen to themselves, to others, and to the earth beneath their feet.

What To Expect at Nature Garden?

Forest school approach where we emphasise hands-on learning to build confidence and self-esteem through daily outdoor engagement and strengthen children’s compassion and social skills.

Creative and exploratory play with activities such as building with natural materials, painting, problem solving, and child-led learning.

Healthy, chef-prepared meals each day that meet dietary restrictions and nourish children to grow and develop and fuel the mile run each day!

Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies are woven into all elements of teaching and care, championing holistic education that values each child’s unique and individual educational needs.

Specially designed rooms such as our library, music room, and sand room to engage children in all sensory elements, develop their love of learning, and nurture their innate creativity.
